Dear David. It is highly possible that we were at Seacamp at the same times. The experience changed my life and put me on the path I am on today: I'm now a professional Marine Science Illustrator who just finished 'A Field Guide to Coastal Fishes - from Maine to Texas' due out in 2011 by Johns Hopkins University Press. Amazing what a few weeks in the Keys can do! Last month, I visited Seacamp for the first time since I was a camper. Vivid memories. Thanks, Val Kells

David,
Your gratitude is much appreciated, late(r) but that's ok; you see I'm a former Flight Attendant for Eastern Airlines, and I have never resigned! When the strike hit in '89 I was on maternity leave, so I decided not to ever quit!! Albeit, with a few technicalities, I accept your thanks on behalf of the sixty thousand employees
of former Eastern Airlines, including the six thousand best Flight Attendants!

Eastern Airlines will always hold a special place in history of aviation, America, Latin America, Caribbean, and my heart. This was quite a welcome gift, for me today, and I have to admit to being teary eyed.

"We Earn Our Wings Everyday" was our motto, thank you for keeping us honest,

F/A Ana Sanchez

Hi David,
Getting my computer back working. Seems the 'e' drive would not record DVD's, so had to update everything in this computer. So this is why I haven't been able to keep up with your adventures. I love the way you tell your true stories of sea life. My book on My Underwater Encounter's, is coming right along. However I lived on Whidbey Island, so my adventures are around cold Ocean. Last year my dream came true to dive down at the South Pole with Ocean Wide Expedition divers from all over the world. Thanks for sharing your adventures in warm waters around Florida Keys, and to think you even saved your plane tickets. Now that's going some. Thanks for your talk in St. Louis where I'm living right now. It was a most inspiring talk and i shall never forget you.
Your friend, Virginia Cross

Wow ,
You said it all perfectly. Some 30 years later and those memories and love for the ocean are still intense for me too. How can I get you to speak at my kids schools?

Inspiring! I love Big Pine Key and I try to go there with my family as often as I can. I think summer adventures are the perfect time to relax and explore ideas about who you are and what you want to do to make a difference. Thank you for sharing your story and look forward to learning more about your mission...
