Dr. David E. Guggenheim will deliver the keynote address to the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education’s (ANJEE’s) 27th Annual Environmental Education Conference, Exploring our Blue Planet.
The conference takes place January 27 and 28, 2012 (Preconference workshops: January 26, 2012) at the Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Hotel and Conference Center, Plainsboro, NJ.
While many around us are going green, ANJEE is going Blue for 2012!
Our world has been called “The Blue Planet” and “The Water Planet” for good reason; it is the only known planet with any significant amount of water and thus the only planet we know of that can sustain life. This conference will investigate water in many different ways – as a resource for life, as a habitat, and as a crucial resource that requires protection from overuse and pollution. The science, curricula, issues, and politics of water will be explored, along with many other environmental education topics.
The ANJEE Conference is a professional development conference for all environmental educators, formal and nonformal alike. We welcome teachers and administrators from Pre-K to university level; and leadership and staff from nature centers, after-school programs, museums, government agencies, zoos, non-profits and you!
