10th International Congress on Protected Areas/9th International Convention on the Environment and Development
Ocean Doctor will participate in the 11th International Convention on Environment and Development, to be held July 3-7, 2017 at the Havana International Convention Center.
The ten previous editions of this gathering have involved over 8,000 participants; about 50% of them being visitors from more than 60 countries on five continents.
This year’s conference will promote cooperation among countries, exchange of experiences and sustainable practices, knowledge transfer, as well as sustained and inclusive economic growth, participatory social development, environmental protection and the dignity of human beings.
Ocean Doctor president, Dr. David E. Guggenheim, will present a paper entitled, “A Century of Unsustainable Tourism in the Caribbean: Lessons Learned and Opportunities for Cuba.”
