Cuba – A Scientific & Educational Liveaboard Expedition (June 17-29, 2017): If you have ever dreamed of visiting Cuba, here is your chance! Join Ocean Doctor, Denver Divers and Generation Ocean for this very unique journey through Cuba including cultural immersion, scientific exploration and scuba diving! Your participation helps support the Generation Ocean students who will be conducting research during the trip. Research topics are centered around marine conservation in Isla de La Juventud and architectural restoration in Havana. As participants in the trip, you will have the chance to help the students conduct their research and will learn proper techniques for coral research and conservation used throughout the Caribbean. During our expedition, we will spend eight nights aboard the Caribbean Kraken Liveaboard, diving in around Isla de La Juventud. While on dry land, we will visit important sites in and around Havana, gaining a true understanding of the rich culture of the country and the struggles they face as tourism begins to expand.
